We visited Caesar Creek State Park, just south of Xenia, Ohio, on a beautiful Saturday in the fall. This park surrounds a reservoir popular with fishermen and boating enthusiasts, with over 40 miles of hikeable trails. We didn't have time for the full loop, so chose a path that took us out onto a peninsula, and by the Horseshoe Falls.

Hiking, Toads And Mushrooms At The Caesar Creek State Park

We decided to take advantage of a warm fall day in October in Ohio by hiking at Caesar Creek State Park, just an hour south of Springfield.

Fimmvörðuháls - Skógar to Fimmvörðuskáli - Iceland For 91 Days

The 25-kilometer Fimmvörðuháls, or Five-Cairn Trail, leads from the Skógafoss waterfall, up and between two glaciers, and into the valley of Þórsmörk. One of Iceland's most popular hikes, it's often done over two days, with a night in the Fimmvörðuskáli hut, but we pushed ourselves to complete the whole thing at once. Ten amazing hours.
